What is ‘Sensemaking or Learning’?
We spend more than 25% of our lives in formal learning and development processes. That is a lot of time and therefore should receive the attention it deserves. We perceive life through our senses. Our individual understanding is based on our frame of reference, level of awareness, our cognitive acuity and somatic sensitivity, and the way we perceive, internalize, contextualise, conceptualise and process information.
No one shoe fits all. We are all unique and hence the negative impact of traditional homogeneous educational systems on learners. Continuously bombarded with information and with so much demanding our attention, we need to review learning processes and the ways we have been conditioned to perceive.

We are were made to believe that we are either left- or right brained dominant, which is not true. Why would we have two arms and two legs if we were only going to use one pf each? And as we know, we can’t walk on one leg. The same applies to all the wondrous human capacities we were born with. The fact that some inherent sensibilities and intelligences are ignored, misunderstood, or not activated and stimulated, does not mean we cannot access, nourish, stimulate, strengthen, expand and direct them; especially during learning and discovery processes. We have access to at least 42 intelligences and 37 senses, which all contribute to our ability to take in, process, apply, embody and direct knowledge.

Tap into the collective intelligence and wisdom to sense how sensemaking has the ability to transform the learning and discovery processes, and catalyses new ways of perceiving, receptivity, conception, internalizing, contextualising, conceptualising, embodiment and applied knowledge.
We do this by enacting our receptive, creative, conceptual and contextual abilities and all our senses, inner and outer, thus our physical 5 senses, our intuition, imagination and extra-sensory abilities.

- Be fully present to what emerges, as there is no need to defend, justify, explain, or protect insights and ideas emerging through the process

- Explore and apply this context on an individual and collective level, thus practical application that has personal value, symbolic meaning for humanity, and global impact
